December’s premieres on the Digital Stage
The Digital Stage, the online theatre-film platform of the “Radu Stanca” National Theatre of Sibiu (TNRS), brings the festive atmosphere to our homes with the two premieres it presents in December: “The Dream Weaver” - an emotional Christmas Story - and the savoury comedy “A Flea in Her Ear”.
The two premieres in December mark the end a year during which the Digital Stage offered the public the chance to watch some of the TNRS's most acclaimed productions, recorded in exceptional quality, alongside valuable international performances.
“For many years, on the stage of the Sibiu National Theatre, The Dream Weaver – A Christmas Story has been a sold-out performance. It is a show full of emotion, which manages to bring the beauty of carols and the joy of Christmas into our souls. These were the reasons why we decided that in December we would also offer viewers who follow us online the chance to see the recorded version of this production. On the other hand, the comedy A Flea in Her Ear happily completes the offer of this festive month, and starting January 2023 we will offer new surprises and gifts to the viewers of the Digital Stage”, says Constantin Chiriac, the general manager of the “Radu Stanca” National Theatre and the president of the Sibiu International Theatre Festival. The Digital Stage December subscription includes the performances: “The Dream weaver – A Christmas Story”, “A Flea in Her Ear", “Romeo and Juliet”, “The Horses of the Sky”, “RUG”, “Flame of the Night”, “Mr. Ibrahim and the Flowers of the Koran”, “A Midsummer Night's Dream”, “Macbeth”, “Pardes”/“Garden of Paradise”.
Viewers who choose the quarterly subscription can watch: “The Dream weaver – A Christmas Story”, “A Flea in Her Ear", “Romeo and Juliet”, “The Horses of the Sky”, “RUG”, “Flame of the Night”, “What the Day Owes to the Night”, “Tattoo”, “A Midsummer Night's Dream”, “Uncanny Valley”, “The Familiar Stranger”, “Puzzle”, “Macbeth”, “Pardes”/“Garden of Paradise”, “Hedda Gabler” and “Mr. Ibrahim and the Flowers of the Koran”.
